Henry Heikkinen – 2024 Mandin Award Recipient

Hello, my name is Henry and I’m in grade five. Thank you, Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta for the award. I appreciate getting the award because it gave me the chance to take a program to help my reading and writing. The program gave me some confidence before school starts to become a better reader and that makes me feel good.

We are deeply honored and grateful that Henry was chosen as the recipient of the Mandin Award. This award allowed Henry to attend a literacy program before school started, significantly boosting his confidence and readiness for school. Navigating the complexities of learning disabilities can be challenging and we greatly appreciate the additional support and resources this award has provided for Henry.
