Her professional background spans travel & tourism, land management, policy development, contracts, additions to reserve, engagement, strategy, and reconciliation, making her a strategic thinker adept at navigating complex challenges. Tanya’s impact extends beyond her federal role, as she actively contributes to various boards and committees, including ACT Alberta, Awotaan Healing Lodge, Learning Disability Association of Canada, and the Canadian Sport Institute. This diverse involvement highlights Tanya’s holistic approach to advocacy, addressing issues from indigenous rights to learning disabilities and sports development.
