Sarah Hoag

My name is Sarah Hoag and I have worked in the field of learning disabilities for almost 30 years. I started at Wood’s Homes in 1992, and interestingly, most of my students had undiagnosed learning disabilities and/or ADHD.

I moved on to Calgary Academy in 1996 and have had several roles in the organization: Teacher, Academic Dean (AP), Student Services, Director of Learning Supports and Learning and my current role, Director of Stakeholder Engagement. Calgary Academy is a DSEP School and we work with students with LDs, ADHD and some students with Level 1 ASD. I am also a member of the LD/ADHD Network, Calgary Region.

I am excited to work with other people throughout the province who are passionate about this work and want to advocate for the needs of students and adults who live with learning disabilities so they may thrive.
